Shaunda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, and a minor in Criminal Justice, in Oklahoma from Langston University. She is currently working towards a Masters degree in Education at Northcentral University. Shaunda brings four years’ experience working in child protective services with vulnerable children, and she has a successful track record of keeping children safe. In Shaunda’s last position, she was a lead child welfare worker and was able to help train new child welfare workers.
Shaunda has worked directly with families in the community, connecting them with resources to successfully keep their families together. She played an important role as an advocate for children involved in the family court process. Shaunda served two years on Cox Charities Advisory Council, where she was able to be a part of the grant making body, reviewing all grant applications and make funding recommendations to local nonprofit agencies.
Shaunda strongly believes that all children are deserving of someone who will never give up on them and we all have an obligation to be part of the solution.
