Alysia Jacobs has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Criminal Justice for Arizona State University. While attending Arizona State University, in the Fall of 2013 she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., the Iota Kappa Chapter. She is currently working on her Masters in Social Work from Capella University. Following the completion of her program, she would like to continue her education by pursing a PhD degree in Clinical Psychology. Alysia has three years’ experience working in the case management field. In 2011, she worked at Perryville Prison for women as the Student Success Coordinator. In this position, she assisted women with completing their education programs post release. In September of 2015, she became a High Needs Case Manager for Jewish Family and Children’s Service. She helped with the coordination of behavioral health services for children ages 5 through 17 who were at home in DCS Custody, as well as those detained at the Durango Juvenile Facility. Alysia is dedicated to the development of youth and strives to highlight the importance of education and help students achieve their goals.
